I have spent many hours researching grant availability. I am exhausted and i nedd HELP!
I am a 44 yo single mother of a 5 year old and homeowner. In recent past I had my drywell collapse and did not know it. The north wall of my basement became wet and crumbly. I found somebody that does home inspections to come and offer some free advice as to what was happening. I then had a contractor come and hook my kitchen into the city sewer line. I also extended all of the leaders on the house and am waiting for the wall to dry. In the meantime my furnace went haywire and I called the repairman and had that fixed(OUCH- I wont mention the oil bills that have trippled in 2 years). While the big guy was down there fixing the furnace the basement floor collapsed in a few places. No this is not good...I have french drains. To put the icing on the cake we have had torrential down pours for the last few days and now I have water pouring into my kitchen thru the ceiling. A huge crack in the drywall all the way across. How much bigger can the money pit get???? I am not looking for a hand out. What I am looking for is info on how to find ANY kind of grant to help pay for the repairs before the whole house comes down around my ears. I don't have the money to pay for these repairs and am barely getting by as it is. I am not getting any support and unfortunately I am good at fixing small things myself but these are 2 really big jobs and i do not even know where to start. I have seen 11ty million ads to take my money for info and know that it is mostly scammers.
Anyone out here that has received any of these grants...how, when , where Please pour on the info!
